If you love someone bring them to Verona …because Verona is the city of love!

It is one of the main tourist destinations in northern Italy, owing to its artistic heritage, several annual fairs, shows, and operas, such as the lyrical season in the Arena, the ancient amphitheatre built by the Romans.

Three of Shakespeare’s plays are set in Verona: Romeo and Juliet, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, and The Taming of the Shrew. It is unknown if Shakespeare ever visited Verona or Italy at all, but his plays have lured many visitors to Verona and surrounding cities many times over. The city has been awarded World Heritage Site status by UNESCO because of its urban structure and architecture.

Start from Bellagio and wander among the UNESCO-inscribed monuments, of this beautiful city such as the Arena, a pink marble Roman amphitheater built in 30 AD, considered one of the best preserved structures of its kind. Learn how it has survived more than 2,000 years, and thrives today as the main venue for the summer opera festival.Go to the tiny dead-alley that contains Juliet’s Balcony and House (Casa di Giulietta). Many choose to pin a love letter to the wall. Visit the Roman Theater, beautifully situated on the banks of the River Adige. Discover more Roman ruins in the historic center, as well as enchanting churches from all periods in history.

An orientation tour of the historic centre of Como, capital town of the lake. Birth town of Alessandro Volta, the pioneer of electricity and inventor of the battery. Como is also considered to be the capital of Italy’s silk industry. A stroll through the town unveils side streets with ancient buildings, the Voltian Temple, Piazza Volta, the picturesque Piazza San Fedele and the most important religious monument, the 14th century Cathedral, a harmonious blend of different architectural styles.

From Bellagio you start to visit Lugano one of the finest and more elegant towns in Switzerland. Visit the wonderful Via Nassa and the square of Riforma with their elegant buildings and their exclusive shops, or pay a visit to the municipal park Ciani. Then visit to church of Santa Maria deli Angeli. After some time at leisure back to Bellagio.

Verona is located near the Adige river and within walking distance from Lake Garda.

The walls contain within them a precious jewel, the historic center of Verona, where you can see many well-preserved Roman ruins. Worthy of note are the amphitheatre Arena, characterized by the brightness of the marble, the Roman theater, the Stone Bridge, the Triumphal Arch of Gavi and much more.

Thanks to its natural position, the different historical epochs have left Sirmione signs so substantial to offer, still a matter of new studies and new discoveries for archaeologists and historians.
